Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts:
Actress Lynda Bellingham and actor Terrence Stamp have been awarded Companionships from the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, which Paul McCartney co-founded with Mark Featherstone-Witty.
Audio specialist Dr. J?Sennheiser, SongLink International founder David Stark and education expert Sir Ken Robinson also received Companion awards.
LIPA combines performance, technical innovation and business awareness, embracing those who perform and those who make performance possible.
It requires each student to extend their existing major skill into performing and non-performing allied skills, as well as business skills and intellectual development. Every LIPA performance is a collaboration between students, each delivering a different skill.
The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts awards the Companion title in recognition of outstanding achievements in the arts and entertainment and honors those who share their knowledge with the students.
